What’s happened’s happened.
Which is an expression of faith in the mechanics of the world, not an excuse to do nothing.
If you haven’t seen Tenet don’t worry, this post won’t spoil anything for you. This is a line said by one of the main characters at the end of the movie.
The movie is based around the theme of time travel, and one of the core tenets (pun intended) of this universe Christopher Nolan created is you can’t change the past. The characters go back and forward in time but what’s happened will still happen, it’s our perception of it that’s changes.
After watching it three times, that idea is staying with me the most.
This year happened. Everything about this year happened and there’s nothing we can do to change it. So then, now what? Are we going to make excuses and do nothing? Maybe for a little bit. I get it, it’s been crazy.
But when we do decide to act let’s do it embracing what really matters, and moving forward with generous intent and courage. The characters in Tenet saved the world. We can do something similar.
