There were some technical hiccups with this blog the other day. I wasn’t able to send post updates through email and it got to me, more than I thought it would.
I tell myself these posts are reps for me to become a better writer, but my ego is always there lurking in the shadows, nagging me, saying, “Isn’t it great you’re writing everyday? People need to see you’re writing everyday!”
So, of course I was annoyed. If you write a post and no one sees it, did you even write one?
The danger with sharing any of our work is debasing our work to make it all about subscribers, views, and earning gobs of money. Rather we need to turning on the lights, chase the ego away, and allow our words and ideas to come from a place of authenticity and commitment to showing up everyday.
This is the tension of writing daily, or of any creative work.
